Job summary

Boulder County Farmers Markets seeks a Director of Finance to lead financial strategy and accounting operations for a growing nonprofit. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to align programs with sustainable budgets and financial health.

The role requires building scalable financial systems, improving processes, and translating financial data into actionable insights for staff and the board.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive financial management experience in nonprofit/mission-driven organizations.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Strong accounting skills including restricted funds, grants, and board reporting.
• Experience partnering with leadership and boards on financial strategy and planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership and Board Finance Committee.
• Oversee accounting operations, internal controls, and grant management.
• Support capital planning, fundraising investments, and earned revenue opportunities.
