Job summary

Achieva is seeking an Accounting & Financial Analyst to transform complex financial data into clear insights that drive leadership decisions and promote fiscal health. The role partners across departments to align financial data with operations and budgeting processes.

You will support annual budgeting, month-end close, and multi-year forecasts, while collaborating with the IT team to enhance data analytics and reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Three years of experience as an accountant or financial analyst, preferably in a nonprofit, healthcare, or related industry.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with financial concepts, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to exhibit flexibility, willingness to learn and change, and maintain current financial and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal teams across operational departments to align financial insights with departmental goals and workflows.
• Build and maintain reports, interactive dashboards, and resource utilization models that translate complex data into clear and accessible strategic insights for leadership and stakeholders.
• Prepare multi-year forecasts and annual budgets while tracking variance and performance across affiliate organizations.
• Prepare grant budgeting reports, restricted funds tracking, and account reconciliations to support all aspects of the annual audit.
• Prepare reports, analysis, and accounting entries to support the month-end close process.
• Partner with the IT Department to connect accounting data with other operational databases and provide centralized data analytics.
• Provide timely and effective assistance to internal teams seeking data, reports, or dashboard access.
