Job summary

Mid-North Food Pantry in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Executive Director to lead fundraising, marketing, operations, and financial management in partnership with the Board and volunteers. The role is 25-30 hours per week and reports to the Board of Directors.

You will develop strategies, manage staff and volunteers, and build community relationships to advance the pantry’s mission. Ideal candidates have at least three years in a relevant sector, experience with fundraising programs, budget

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in corporate or nonprofit settings; food pantry ops preferred.
• Proven fundraising program experience.
• Experience evaluating and updating operational procedures for quality improvement.
• Prior supervisory experience with ability to lead diverse teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with stakeholder engagement skills.
• Budget preparation and management experience.
• Proficiency with office equipment, computers, spreadsheets, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising efforts with multi-faceted strategies including direct mail, social media, and events.
• Develop and implement marketing and outreach plans to raise pantry awareness and partnerships.
• Oversee food inventory, sourcing from partners, and inventory reporting.
• Manage finances with board collaboration, budgets, and timely invoicing.
• Hire, develop, and mentor staff and coordinate with the board and committees.
