Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking a Director of Accounting for our non-profit team in Chicago, IL. As the Director of Accounting, you will oversee the end-to-end accounting processes for multiple non-profit clients. Serving as the main point of contact and internal liaison for our clients, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a compelling vision for developing and implementing an effective client strategy that will empower them to reach their financial goals and objectives successfully. This is a mostly remote role but will require occasional travel in and around Chicago and the greater Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and timely financial statements, coaching, and counseling to stakeholders and operations managers to help improve margins and impact their bottom line.
• Lead budget processes and incorporate periodic analytics.
• Work closely with clients to solve issues related to complicated financial statement situations.
• Monitor finances to aid clients functioning within those guidelines, and provide financial analysis and advice to clients.
• Provide best practices within Quatrro to help the client improve their business execution.
• Coordinate with other internal Quatrro teams for consultative support on all financial services.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to cross-functional teams aligned to a particular client delivery process.
• Address client concerns and issues to ensure they are resolved promptly and dealt with according to client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or business with an accounting/finance focus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Experience working with Not-For-Profit organizations (Education or Health and Human Services sector is ideal).
• Versed in federal, city, and state grant administration, including compliance, budgeting, and allocation.
• Proven success providing consulting services to multiple clients at once.
• Demonstrated people management experience and success leading a team of direct reports, with a focus on coaching and developing Senior Accountants and Accounting Managers.
• Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and functions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of industry-specific accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and processes.
• Experienced in creating processes and efficiencies.
• Strong business acumen and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated success working collaboratively and building relationships with key stakeholders and C-level executives.

Preferred:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• MBA degree.
• Experience in a consulting or business process outsourcing (BPO) environment.
• Proven success leading both in-person and decentralized/virtual teams.

The estimated pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000/year.
