Job summary

Ltd Global, a private nonprofit in the San Francisco Bay Area, seeks an experienced Finance Leader to manage accounting operations, budgeting, audits, payroll, and general ledger. This hands-on role requires strong leadership and collaboration with staff and consultants to ensure sound financial management.

The incumbent will drive policies, reporting, and internal controls to support the organization's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a management role.
• Nonprofit accounting experience, including fund accounting and donor‑restricted funds.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience leading audits, budgeting, cash flow management, and full‑cycle accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and accounting software experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and produce timely reports for management and Board.
• Establish, maintain, and monitor accounting policies and procedures.
• Coordinate budgeting and projections for all departments.
• Review performance, monitor variances and cash flow; manage reserves.
• Serve as liaison to Board Finance/Audit Committees; attend meetings as needed.
• Lead audits and coordinate with auditors; prepare reports for tax returns.
• Manage donor restricted funds reconciliation with Development.
• Set annual objectives for the department aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure reporting deadlines and external filings are met.
• Maintain banking relationships and reconcile all accounts.
