Job summary

KerberRose is seeking a Non-Profit Audit Manager to lead engagements for nonprofit organizations, mentor staff, and advise on accounting and reporting matters. This role involves client-facing leadership and regional travel as needed.

You will supervise staff, review financial statements, and contribute to business development while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Active CPA license.
• Five+ years of public accounting experience with nonprofit experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, compilations, and reviews.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge related to Form 990s and IRS nonprofit regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead nonprofit audit engagements from planning through completion, including presentation to clients.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor audit staff and seniors throughout all engagement phases.
• Review financial statements and audit documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Advise clients on accounting, auditing, and financial reporting matters.
• Identify and resolve complex accounting and audit issues.
• Evaluate and test internal controls and financial reporting processes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
• Review and/or prepare Form 990 and related state informational returns.
• Participate in business development activities, networking opportunities, and client presentations.
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm's Audit practice.
