Job summary

KerberRose's Audit team offers a collaborative work environment with meaningful opportunities for professional growth. The Non-Profit Audit Manager will lead nonprofit audit engagements, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and mentor staff throughout the engagement.

You will review financial statements, advise on accounting matters, test internal controls, and participate in business development and client presentations. Strong leadership, CPA, and nonprofit experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Active CPA license is required.
• 5+ years of public accounting experience with nonprofit exposure.
• Strong leadership, communications, and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, compilations, and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead nonprofit audit engagements from planning through completion, including presentation to clients.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor audit staff and seniors throughout engagements.
• Review financial statements and related audit documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Advise clients on accounting, auditing, and financial reporting matters.
• Identify and resolve complex accounting and audit issues.
• Evaluate and test internal controls and financial reporting processes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
• Review and/or prepare Form 990 and related state returns.
• Participate in business development activities and client presentations.
• Contribute to growth of the firm’s Audit practice.
