Job summary

Altruic Advisors, CPAs is offering a paid, part-time summer internship as an Audit Intern. The program runs June 1, 2027 through August 31, 2027, typically about 20 hours per week. Most work will be in-person at our office or on-site with nonprofit clients, with limited remote work possible.

College credit verification can be provided if requested. This internship provides hands-on training and strong potential for a permanent role.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting.
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in audit, review and compilation engagements from planning through issuance.
• Perform audit testing procedures.
• Perform walkthroughs of client controls.
• Develop the ability to audit areas such as cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, accounts payable, deferred revenue, other liabilities, and payroll.
• Complete audit programs and obtain and review evidence to support conclusions.
• Prepare Form 990 returns for nonprofit clients.
• Self-review of all work prior to supervisor review.
• Maintain adherence to firm and professional standards.
