Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) seeks an Experienced Audit Associate to serve nonprofit clients in North Carolina. This in-office role offers exposure to audit engagements, relationship-building, and leadership development within a supportive team. You will work on complex areas, supervise staff, and ensure timely engagement wrap-up.

Required is a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA eligibility is preferred. 1 year of relevant experience and ability to travel to client sites may be expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
1 year of relevant experience in professional services required (internships may qualify).

Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures for nonprofit clients.
Audit complex areas or transactions and prepare financial statements and reports.
Schedule, delegate, and review the work of staff.
Supervise, train, and mentor staff.
Keep Manager or Principal informed of engagement status and issues.
Proactively interact with clients to gather information for timely wrap-up.
