Job summary

CLA is seeking an Assurance Director/Manager to join our growing Non-Profit practice in California. You will lead client engagements, manage audit teams, and help clients meet funding requirements while delivering high-quality financial statements and reports.

A bachelor's in accounting or finance and a CPA license are required, with at least six years of public accounting experience and proven leadership of teams on governmental and single audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation and audits.
• Experience leading teams and managing governmental audits and single audits preferred.
• CPA license certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with great clients.
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to continue to positively impact their community.
• Assist clients with meeting their audit and financial planning objectives by using a range of tools.
• Be creative with staff development, mentoring, and overseeing client engagement teams.
• Lead the engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines for adherence; communicate developments to the engagement principal with facts and recommendations.
