Job summary

The Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Riverside) seeks an Accounting Generalist to support payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting for the HOP non-profit. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with Ohio regulations in a nonprofit setting.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 2+ years with payroll, AP/AR, or general accounting, plus proficiency with Munis/GoCo/Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Two years’ experience in payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable or general accounting.
• Knowledge of payroll processing, tax withholdings and benefit deductions.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, accounting systems and database software.
• Ability to pass background checks and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Complete all phases of accounts payable and accounts receivable for properties owned by HOP.
• Prepare bank statements, monthly financial statements and annual budgeting.
• Process bi-weekly payroll including timesheets, leave tracking and deductions.
• Maintain organized financial records and support audits and year-end closes.
• Ensure compliance with Ohio Revised Code and agency policies; provide vendor/customer support.
