Job summary

Volunteers of America Oklahoma (VOAOK) is seeking an Accounting Generalist for our Tulsa onsite team. The role supports all nonprofit accounting functions including grants billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.

The position emphasizes accuracy, timely financial reporting, and collaboration with the CFO and Director of Accounting to reconcile revenue and manage program funding. Onsite work in Tulsa, OK is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Competent user of MS Outlook, Word, & PowerPoint.
• Advanced user of MS Excel, pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas, plus knowledge of financial formulas and formatting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle conflicting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of all client community accounts (checking, savings, cash, and client funds).
• Review bills and check requests. Verify and code bills and enter into accounting system to be paid.
• Print checks, obtain signatures and mail in a timely manner.
• Process petty cash semi-monthly. Review receipts, email PCs regarding missing receipts.
• Establish and maintain files.
• Maintain vendor files and complete filing of invoices on a weekly basis.
