Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support the Finance Manager in the organization’s accounting and finance functions. The role is full-time (40 hours) with a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule in Goshen, Indiana.

Responsibilities include recording purchases in Sage Intacct, handling accounts receivable deposits, preparing monthly budgets and grant reports, and assisting with month-end close and reconciliations. Prior nonprofit experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of accounting/finance experience, ideally nonprofit.
• Basic accounting knowledge and GL experience; Sage Intacct preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve issues with accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Reliable transportation and active driver’s license.
• Ability to stand/sit for extended periods and lift up to 20lbs.

Responsibilities

• Enter club purchases into Sage Intacct as purchase requests with supporting documentation.
• Accounts Receivable: assist with daily deposit forms from site locations.
• Prepare monthly budget and grant reports for clubs.
• Assist with general-ledger reconciliations, verify data and correct errors.
• Support monthly and year-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare special financial reports by collecting and analyzing account information and trends.
• Assist with other accounting and finance functions as needed.
