You will prepare statements, assist with budgets, support audits, and collaborate with managers to drive accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 1-3 years accounting experience.
• Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in accounting software (Acumatica, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements and accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of budget-to-actual reports and variance analyses.
• Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards (e.g. GAAP) and relevant regulations (e.g. OIR).
• Support the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with both internal and external auditors.
• Data Management: Utilize accounting software to maintain financial data and generate reports.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial systems.
• Work closely with managers and supervisors to provide financial guidance and support.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate effective financial operations.
• Works closely with community team members to provide assistance and support.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Assist in the implementation of new financial policies and procedures.
