The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking an Accountant to support the Finance team in ensuring accurate billing, AR, cash receipts and general ledger activities. This role collaborates with program and branch staff to maintain strong internal controls and reliable financial information for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience in nonprofit or service organization.
• Experience with billing, AR, GL reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process billing and accounts receivable accurately and timely.
• Assist with month-end AR close and reconciliations.
• Support general accounting, journal entries, and audits.
• Prepare financial schedules and reporting for management.
• Maintain internal controls and confidentiality.
