Job summary

Naval Sea Systems Command seeks a Materials Engineer in the Materials Division, SEA 05P2, NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT, at the Washington Navy Yard, DC. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Nonmetallic Materials, applying engineering judgment to selection, testing, and qualification of materials used on Navy platforms.

The role requires an engineering degree or EI/EIT/PE licensure, ABET-accredited program, and eligibility for a Secret clearance; telework is eligible.

Qualifications

• Requires professional engineering degree or EI/EIT/PE licensure.
• Education must come from ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
• Possession of FE exam or professional licensure is acceptable across states.

• Advise on material selection, testing, and qualification for Navy platforms.
