Noninvasive Cardiologist

Hackensack University Medical Center

Hackensack, New Jersey

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks to employ a BC/BE Cardiologist to join our expanding health system. The successful candidate will provide consultative services, evaluation and management of inpatients and outpatients at Hackensack University Medical Center and ambulatory services at Hackensack Meridian Health practice locations. The role involves cardiovascular diagnostic imaging services in both practice and hospital settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and strong communication with a commitment to outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultations, non invasive testing, evaluation and management services in HMH ambulatory clinicalpractice locations with a commitment to excellent patient experience
  • Round on inpatient units at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) providing consultative services as required
  • Cardiology coverage for the Emergency Trauma Center (ETC) as scheduled
  • Participate in echo and EKG reading panels as needed
  • Participate in stress testing hospital coverage
  • Participate in cardiology fellow education as requested
  • This physician will have the opportunity to supervise the clinical work of the Advanced Practice Nurse if present in office practice
  • Participate in initiatives to support and enhance patient experience and continuity of care

Requirements Include

  • MD/DO degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School.
  • Completion of a 3-year Cardiology fellowship.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiology
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Echo

COMPENSATION:

Starting Base Salary: $355,762

Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.

Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.

Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
