Opportunity Overview: Nondestructive Examination Technician - Contract Role for Fall outage 2025

WECTEC Staffing/Westinghouse is seeking an NDE Technician for the Fall 2025 outage season at Waltz Mill in Madison, PA.

This role involves hands-on work in containment to support primary side service activities. The work includes high dose and high contamination areas, often requiring protective clothing and respiratory protection.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist knowledgeable technicians with equipment setup for SG Primary work, including cable management and material handling.


• Install and remove primary manways following approved procedures.


• Install and remove nozzle covers manually or remotely.


• Install and remove Pegasys or ROSA manipulators into steam generators under the Control Station Operator's (CSO) guidance.


• Support eddy current testing, including:




• Loading end effectors onto manipulators.


• Changing eddy current probes, recognizing different types.


• Adding or removing conduit.




• Support plugging operations (rolled or rib plug), including:




• Calibrating plugging tools under CSO supervision.


• Loading plugs onto end effectors.


• Loading end effectors onto manipulators.

Qualifications:

• One year of nuclear outage experience preferred but not required.


• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.


• Ability to travel and obtain/maintain "Unescorted Access" status.
