Job summary

Hanes Companies is seeking a NW Material Coordinator for our Conover, NC operation. Responsibilities include entering and shipping vendor purchase orders, coordinating material shipments to outside converters, maintaining inventory, and handling import/ drop shipments and billing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Identify and stop processing of non-conformances and take action to prevent non-conformances related to products, processes, services or the QEMS.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and verify implemented solutions.
• Conform to quality/safety/environmental requirements.
• Enter vendor purchase orders.
• Ship vendor purchase orders.
• Ship material to outside converters for processing.
• Order services from outside converters.
• Ship material converted at outside converters.
• Enter import purchase orders.
• Enter drop shipments with vendors.
• Process manual billings.
• Issue inventory record adjustments.
• Issue debit/credit memos.
• Request new product numbers and FOBs.
• Maintain inventory and cost comparisons.
• Maintain and update vendor quotes.
• Maintain and update Fiberweb open order report.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• All employees have the responsibility to identify and stop further processing of non-conformances and take action to prevent non-conformances related to products produced, processes, services provided or the Quality/Environmental Management System.
• All employees have the responsibility to bring forth suggestions and participate in continuous improvement process and verify the implementation of solutions.
• Conform to all quality/safety/environmental requirements and procedures.
• Enter vendor purchase orders.
• Ship vendor purchase orders.
• Ship material to outside converters for processing.
• Order services from outside converters.
• Ship material converted at outside converters.
• Enter import purchase orders.
• Enter drop shipments with vendors.
• Process manual billings.
• Issue inventory record adjustments.
• Issue debit/credit memos.
