Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Building Technician in Beverly Hills, CA to perform preventive and reactive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related systems. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with a pay rate of $35.00 per hour and weekly payroll.

The position supports ABM’s facilities services and requires ability to read blueprints and operate building automation systems. ABM emphasizes comprehensive benefits and veteran-friendly employment.

Qualifications

• Formal knowledge of HVAC Components (VAV’s, Air-Handlers, Pumps, unit ventilators, etc.)
• Experience commensurate with the facility for Building Engineer
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• As required, highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC, plus universal level refrigerant recovery license
• Computer skills and building automation systems experience required.
• Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required.
• EPA 608 Certified (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures
• Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities
• Respond to spills and other emergency situations, performing janitorial and maintenance tasks as necessary
• Assist in client, site or customer emergencies as needed
