Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track Teaching Professor position in Financial Planning. The role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction to undergraduate and/or graduate students, with opportunities to shape curriculum in a newly established School of Financial Planning.

Successful candidates will bring industry experience, a commitment to student success, and the ability to translate real-world practices into engaging coursework.

Qualifications

• Experience as a financial advisor or in a closely related role.
• Professional certification in financial planning.
• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level in financial planning or related topics.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to student-centered learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester in financial planning and related finance topics.
• Develop and deliver course materials aligned with program learning objectives and industry standards.
• Incorporate applied, experiential learning techniques to enhance student engagement.
• Maintain regular office hours. Provide timely feedback and academic support to students.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous program improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with developments in financial planning practice, regulation, and education.
• Engage in service activities that support the department, college, and university as appropriate for a teaching-focused appointment.
