Qualifications

• Active California Pharmacy Technician registration in good standing.
• 1–2+ years of hands-on non-sterile compounding experience preferred.
• Experience with pharmaceutical calculations, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to follow detailed formulas, SOPs and written instructions.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Professional communication with pharmacists and other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customized non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Compound a variety of dosage forms including capsules, creams, ointments, gels, solutions, suspensions, powders, troches and other formulations.
• Accurately calculate, weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to approved formulations and procedures.
• Follow Master Formulation Records, Compounding Records and established SOPs.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency throughout the compounding process.
• Conduct in-process checks and communicate discrepancies to the pharmacist.
• Package and label compounded preparations accurately.
