Protouch Staffing in Basalt, Colorado seeks a skilled Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join a growing compounding pharmacy. You will prepare patient-specific non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision, following established formulations, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

This on-site, full-time position supports routine compounding, documentation, inventory management, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician registration or ability to obtain it.
• Strong pharmacy math, measurement, and documentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
• Ability to safely handle pharmaceutical ingredients and hazardous medications using required safety controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare non-sterile compounded medications, including capsules, creams, ointments, gels, troches, suspensions, solutions, and suppositories.
• Weigh, measure, mix, triturate, mill, encapsulate, package, and label medications accurately.
• Follow USP, OSHA, and applicable state and federal requirements.
• Maintain accurate compounding records, calculations, lot numbers, expiration dates, and quality checks.
• Perform cleaning, decontamination, and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor inventory and storage conditions and report shortages or expired materials.
• Stage completed preparations and documentation for pharmacist verification.
• Follow PPE and safety procedures when handling hazardous medications.
• Report errors, deviations, spills, and equipment concerns promptly.
• Support workflow improvements, competency activities, and inspection readiness.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join a growing compounding pharmacy in Basalt, Colorado. The technician will prepare patient-specific non-sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision while following established formulations, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy, laboratory, manufacturing, or compounding experience.
• Experience with USP and/or USP .
• Experience with capsules, creams, ointments, suspensions, or other non-sterile dosage forms.
• Familiarity with compounding equipment and inventory management.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, on-site position in Basalt, Colorado.
• Monday-Friday schedule.
• Scheduled 30-minute meal period.
• Overtime may be available based on operational needs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with assistance or accommodation as appropriate.
