Equity Prime Mortgage is seeking a Mortgage Non-QM Underwriter to analyze and underwrite loans outside standard agency guidelines. You’ll review complex income documents, assess credit, income, and collateral, and issue clear underwriting decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with brokers and internal teams to ensure smooth documentation and adherence to guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience.
• Recent experience in Non-QM and wholesale underwriting.
• Knowledge of Non-QM, Jumbo, and residential loan products.
• Strong understanding of income analysis, compliance regulations, and appraisal review.
• Proficiency with Encompass LOS and AUS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite Non-QM loans including Bank Statement, 1099, DSCR, Full Doc, and Self-Employed borrower profiles.
• Analyze complex income documentation including personal and business tax returns and bank statements.
• Evaluate credit, income, and collateral to determine loan eligibility.
• Issue clear underwriting decisions and communicate required conditions effectively.
• Work closely with brokers and internal teams to clarify documentation and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
• Additional responsibilities related to business needs.
