Responsibilities

• Work with designated faculty or supervisor on specific astronomy projects related to research or outreach within the field of astronomy and astrophysics.
• Conduct research, develop activities, and workshops for professional development to provide experience working as a professional in the field.
• Read journal articles, perform computer coding, technical writing, verbal/visual/written communication, data analysis, statistics, and other tasks within the scope of the program.

Qualifications

• Astronomy, Physics, or Engineering background as determined by the projects they are selected for.
• Ability to apply academic knowledge from classes to real-world problems in research and outreach.
