Job Title: Student Assistant 2 - Research Operations
Department: FAES | Research Operations Administration-JM
Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees.
Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment.
Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role.
Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
Assists agricultural operations staff with field operations to establish, maintain and harvest crops, research, or greenhouse operations. Other duties may include assisting with livestock husbandry and animal care. Assists with grounds and facilities maintenance, fence repairs, and equipment repairs. Operates agricultural machinery including mowers and grounds equipment; cleans and maintains work areas and other duties as assigned.
Assists with data and sample collection, record keeping and computer data entry.
Estimated timeframe: May through September 2026
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
