Job summary

Home in the Heart Healthcare Agency is seeking a compassionate Homemaker / Home Health Aide / Personal Care Assistant to provide non-medical in-home support, helping clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, errands, and companionship, while following care plans and maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Must be compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff.
• Must follow written care plans and agency policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with toileting and incontinence care as needed.
• Help with transferring, walking, mobility, and positioning.
• Assist with eating and meal preparation.
• Provide light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, linens, cleaning living areas).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with errands, groceries, and appointments when authorized.
• Document services accurately and timely.
• Clock in/out using EVV system.
• Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
