PURPOSE:
The purpose of a Mobility mentoring program in Preventive Service Department is to provide support for families with child(ren) (ages 0 to 17) The Preventive Services Department provides child welfare services using Evidence Based models to ensure that families are able to provide safe environments for their children, keep children safe in their homes and reduce the need for foster care. Prevention is an essential part of the child welfare continuum and requires a commitment to the wellbeing of all members of a client family. All services are provided in a family’s home and community.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Social Worker Supervisor has full responsibility for the on-going clinical guidance of the clinical/case planner staff members. The Supervisor also provides on-going training and supervision to the clinical staff. The Supervisor may be called upon to perform any of the line functions normally performed by a social worker/case planner and is expected to be fully proficient in those areas. The Supervisor is familiar with all Preventive Service and Child Welfare Standards and functions as an internal resource on such matters.
