Job summary

University Health seeks an experienced Vascular Technologist to perform non-invasive tests and supervise a tech staff in a patient care and academic setting.

You will conduct a full range of vascular examinations, ensure quality, and support staff development while maintaining required certifications and adhering to ARDMS guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in Vascular Technology (RVS or RVT) required; ARDMS RVT preferred.
• New graduates must obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides advanced technical and supervisory skills in the performance and direction of non-invasive tests used in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease. Responsible for performing a full range of non-invasive vascular tests and for supervision of assigned staff in the performance of vascular testing in a patient care and academic / research environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Two years of vascular technology/technician experience is preferred. Certification in Vascular Technology, RVS or RVT, is required; certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) is preferred. New graduates must receive their certification within 6 months of hire.
