Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a per diem Vascular Technologist to evaluate lab procedures, equipment and staff, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and reliability for UHSH employees, medical staff, patients and regulatory agencies. The role may involve floating between UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY and Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY.

Hours are per diem with assignments made by the manager.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy, hemodynamics and color flow Doppler principles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate vascular lab procedures, equipment and staff to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Support UHSH employees, medical staff and patients while meeting regulatory expectations.
• Float across multiple UHS facilities as needed; work is per diem with hours assigned by the manager.

Job description

Position Overview

Ensures that the evaluation of Vascular Lab procedures, equipment and staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive and reliable. Customers served include UHSH employees, Medical Staff, patients and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.

Work Locations: UHS Wilson Medical Center, JohnsonCity, NY UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY

There is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Your recruiter and hiring manager will clarify expectations during the interview process.

Work Shift and Schedule: This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.

Compensation Range: $33.63-$50.45 per hour, depending on experience

This position is not eligible for benefits.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required: Associate degree in Applied Science in vascular technology or similar modality Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy, hemodynamics as well as color flow doppler principles.

License/Certification

Minimum Required: Registered or Registry eligible by the ARDMS or CCI as a registered vascular technologist (RVT). Staff who are Registry eligible are required to successfully pass the Registry exam achieving “Active Registry Status” within one year from the date of hire.

Preferred: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
