This full-time position splits time roughly 50/50 between outpatient clinic and hospital coverage. You will perform non-invasive cardiology, interpret EKGs and stress tests, with Epic EMR and NP support for weekend rounds; interventional coverage is already handled.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiology care in outpatient and hospital settings.

Overview & Highlights

Location: Phoenix, Arizona - year-round outdoor recreation, a growing metro area, and access to Scottsdale, the Sonoran Desert, and surrounding mountain communities

Schedule: Full-time; currently approximately 50% outpatient clinic / 50% hospital, with the opportunity to shift toward a more clinic-focused schedule

Compensation: $450,000-$550,000

Bonus: Eligible for additional bonus compensation after the first year

Location & Logistics

• Work Environment: Private-practice-oriented cardiology setting using Epic EMR

• Clinical Mix: Approximately half-day clinic and half-day hospital coverage

• Clinic Volume: Approximately 16 patients per half-day clinic session

• Call: Approximately 1:3 coverage at Deer Valley and Sonoran Crossing

• Weekend Coverage: Weekend rounding is part of the coverage model, with NP support so you are not rounding alone

• Interventional Coverage: Interventional cardiology coverage is already handled

• Clinical Support: Eligible for scribe support

About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life

This is a full-time Non-Invasive Cardiology opportunity for a physician who enjoys both outpatient continuity and hospital-based cardiology but ultimately sees themselves moving toward a more clinic-focused practice.

Your current schedule will generally be split between the clinic and hospital. A typical half-day clinic session includes approximately 16 patients, while the hospital portion provides the opportunity to round and manage cardiology patients alongside an established team.

Core responsibilities include general non-invasive cardiology, EKG interpretation, and stress testing. The ability to read vascular studies or PET scans is a plus, and experience with TEE is welcomed, but this is not a procedure-heavy role.

You'll work within Epic and can be eligible for scribe support to help streamline documentation. During weekend rounding, NP support is available, and interventional coverage is already handled.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology

• Eligible for Arizona medical licensure

• Appropriate training to practice Non-Invasive Cardiology

• Ability to interpret EKGs and stress tests

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaborative skills

• Interest in establishing a stable, long-term practice in the Phoenix area
