Job description

Non-Invasive Cardiologist - Phoenix, AZ - 2-Year Partnership Track

We are looking for a Non-Invasive Cardiologist - new graduate or experienced - who wants a balanced clinic-and-hospital practice in Phoenix with a clear 2-year partnership track, strong day-to-day support, and no cath lab or interventional requirements.

Overview & Highlights:

  • Location: Phoenix, Arizona - one of the fastest-growing metros in the country, with year-round sunshine, outstanding outdoor recreation, and big-city dining, sports, and airport access

  • Schedule: Full-time; currently about 50% outpatient clinic / 50% hospital, with the opportunity to shift toward a more clinic-focused schedule over time

  • Compensation: $450,000 - $550,000 per year; eligible for additional bonus compensation after the first year

  • Partnership: 2-year partnership track opportunity

  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance; malpractice coverage with tail coverage; 401(k) with Safe Harbor; PTO and sick time; CME reimbursement; license reimbursement

  • Sign-On / Relocation Bonus: Both available - negotiable

Location & Logistics:

  • Work Environment: Private-practice cardiology setting using Epic EMR; eligible for scribe support

  • Coverage Model or Hours: Half-day clinic sessions (approximately 16 patients per half day) paired with half-day hospital coverage

  • Travel: None

  • Call Expectations: Shared call approximately 1-in-3 covering two nearby hospital campuses; weekend rounding comes with NP support so you are never covering alone; interventional coverage is handled separately

  • Start Timeline: We are hiring for the right long-term fit and can be flexible on timing. We welcome candidates who are available to start immediately, as well as those considering a planned transition over the next 12-24 months.

About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life:

Join our established, physician-led cardiology practice in Phoenix. Your week is built around a straightforward rhythm: half-day clinic sessions seeing roughly 16 patients, paired with half-day hospital coverage rounding on our cardiology patients. Interventional coverage is already in place, so your focus stays on diagnosis, medical management, and continuity of care.

Clinically, the core of the role is non-invasive cardiology: interpreting EKGs and stress tests, managing coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, and valvular disease, and guiding preventive care. If you also read vascular studies or PET scans, that is a genuine plus - and TEE skills are welcome - but procedures are not required for this role.

This is a clinically focused private practice, not an academic setting. Over time, the schedule can shift toward a more clinic-heavy mix, and the 2-year partnership track gives you a clear, defined path to ownership. Whether you are finishing fellowship or bringing years of experience, this is a place to build a long-term home.

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Clear 2-year partnership track - a defined path to ownership, not a vague promise

  • No cath lab or interventional responsibilities; interventional coverage is already handled

  • Balanced clinic/hospital mix today, with the option to move toward a clinic-focused schedule

  • Manageable call (about 1-in-3) with NP support for weekend rounding

  • Scribe support eligibility and Epic EMR keep documentation sustainable

  • Open to new graduates as well as experienced cardiologists

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient cardiology consultations and longitudinal care in the clinic

  • Round on and manage hospitalized cardiology patients

  • Interpret EKGs and stress tests

  • Interpret additional non-invasive studies (such as vascular imaging, PET, or TEE) consistent with your training - a plus, not a requirement

  • Manage coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, valvular disease, and preventive cardiology

  • Provide pre-operative cardiac risk assessment and clearance

  • Collaborate with interventional cardiology colleagues to deliver coordinated patient care

  • Participate in the shared call rotation, including weekend rounding with NP support

  • Document care in Epic and contribute to strong patient outcomes and practice growth

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology

  • Eligible for Arizona medical licensure

  • Appropriate training to practice Non-Invasive Cardiology

  • Ability to interpret EKGs and stress tests

  • New graduates and experienced cardiologists are both welcome

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read vascular studies or PET scans

  • TEE experience (procedures are not required for this role)

  • Looking for a long-term practice home with partnership upside
