Job summary

The Cardiology Section at VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) invites applications for a full-time position as a Non-Invasive Cardiologist. The successful candidate will work in the echocardiography lab and in the general cardiology services at VABHS, including ambulatory clinic and inpatient care.

Qualifications

• US citizenship requirement; non-citizens only per VA policy.
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in a US state or DC.
• Residency training approved by VA for core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• Board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease; advanced imaging certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Licensing and training exceptions considerations for PRPs may apply.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a full-time Non-Invasive Cardiologist in the Cardiology Section at VA Boston Healthcare System.
• Work in the echocardiography lab and general cardiology services including ambulatory and inpatient care.
• Engage in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Participate in advanced cardiac imaging studies (CT, MRI, nuclear) depending on board certifications.
• Collaborate with Radiology and other cardiologists to coordinate cardiac reports.
