Job summary

ShopRite of Somerville in Somerville, NJ is seeking a Non-Foods Manager to direct and supervise all functions of the Non-Foods Department and its associates, driving sales, profit, customer experience, and team engagement. Reporting to the General Store Manager, you will lead with a focus on safety, presentation, and efficiency.

You will oversee staffing, training, inventory, and in-store operations, while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for a full shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Non-Foods Department.
• Lead Associates to achieve department goals.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance in the department.
• Maintain accurate product stocking, pricing and displays.
• Manage onboarding and training of new department staff.
• Schedule and manage attendance and staffing during shifts.
