Job summary

Alter Trading is seeking a Non-Ferrous Warehouse associate at our Negaunee, MI location. You will identify and receive inbound non-ferrous metals, weigh material, and correctly code items into the system while placing them in their designated areas.

In this role, you will provide excellent customer service at the Non-Ferrous area, assist customers with weighing and inspecting material, and learn to operate machines such as forklifts, balers, and shaker tables in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Evidence of customer service and/or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with metal scrap handling is a plus.
• Ability to learn and operate recycling equipment and machinery.

The Role:

This position identifies and receives inbound non-ferrous metals to be recycled from the general public. This process is done by weighing material, inputting the correct commodity code into the system and then putting the material in its proper location.
