Job summary

Alter Trading Corporation is seeking a Non-Ferrous Recovery Supervisor for the Night Shift in Council Bluffs, IA. You will lead a production team, monitor metrics, and ensure safety and quality across 12-hour night shifts.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in industrial settings, welding/mechanical knowledge, and strong leadership with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Valid driver’s license is required, with benefits and advancement opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in industrial, manufacturing, or processing settings.
• Familiarity with welding, mechanical repairs, and basic electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience directing maintenance personnel and overseeing shift operations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise shift employees to meet production targets for volume, quality, and material recovery.
• Monitor and accurately log daily shift metrics using internal systems and spreadsheets.
• Provide real-time coaching and feedback to improve employee performance and attendance.
• Diagnose equipment issues and determine whether in-house or external maintenance is required.
• Assist in training new hires and filling in as a back-up equipment operator or maintenance tech as needed.
• Enforce safety and environmental standards, including dust mitigation, stormwater policies, and internal audits.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain compliance with landfill and operational regulations.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Salary Range: $27.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Salary Range: $27-$30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

As a Night Shift Production Supervisor, you’ll be on the front lines of our manufacturing operations, overseeing production processes, ensuring team safety, and maintaining quality standards throughout the night shift. Shift Schedule: Night Shift: 3 PM – 4:30 AM (12-hour shifts typically Monday through Friday Night)

What You’ll Do:
