Job summary

EMR Group is seeking a General Laborer to support day-to-day yard operations in Slidell, LA. You will work independently to complete tasks, while also collaborating with a team to keep the site safe and organized.

Responsibilities include site cleaning, equipment upkeep, material sorting, and adherence to health and safety protocols. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and using basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate hand tools (snips, brooms, shovels, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to work overhead, climb ladders, kneel and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and hazards.
• Assist in maintenance of equipment.
• Sort and pick up recycling material.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, orderly workplace.
• Assist in housekeeping and perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards
• Assist in maintenance of equipment

• Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols
• Ensure a clean and orderly workplace
• Assist in housekeeping
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need:

• Ability to use variety of hand tools such as snip cutters, brooms, shovels, etc.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to work overhead, climb ladders, kneel, and stand for long periods.
• Previous experience using a forklift preferred.
