Job summary

EMR Group USA is hiring a General Laborer in Slidell, LA to support daily yard operations and material handling. You will prepare sites, sort recyclables, and assist with equipment maintenance while following health and safety protocols.

The role requires physical capability, teamwork, and the ability to work independently. Training, PTO, and benefits are provided as part of a competitive package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Assist in maintenance of equipment.
• Sort and pick up recycling material.
• Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols.
• Ensure a clean and orderly workplace.
• Assist in housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

General Laborer

The General Laborer will assist with the general day-to-day operations of the yard. To be successful, you must be able to work independently to accomplish daily tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards
• Assist in maintenance of equipment
• Sort and pick up recycling material
• Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols
• Ensure a clean and orderly workplace

• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• Ability to use variety of hand tools such as snip cutters, brooms, shovels, etc.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to work overhead, climb ladders, kneel, and stand for long periods.

Education

• High School graduate or G.E.D.
• Previous experience using a forklift preferred.
