Job summary

Valley Health’s Transportation Specialist delivers safe, reliable non‑medical transport for clients traveling to and from medical facilities, under the Dispatch Center and Team Leader. You will transport ambulatory, wheelchair and stretcher clients, adhering to strict safety standards and communicating effectively with staff and partners.

Responsibilities include loading and securing clients and mobility devices, following regulatory guidelines, maintaining vehicle readiness, and coordinating

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with adaptive equipment and wheelchair lift systems preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with DOT/Medical Examiner requirements within policy timelines.
• Mandatory to complete BLS/CPR/First Aid within specified timelines.
• EVOC and related safety trainings may be required by timeline.

Responsibilities

• Provide wheelchair and stretcher transportation, non-emergency ambulance assistance, and client support.
• Ensure proper loading, securing, and transfer of all clients and mobility devices.
• Follow all regulatory guidelines and safety policies 100% of the time.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and cleanliness per organizational standards.
• Collaborate with Dispatch Center and clinical staff to meet pickup schedules and route efficiency.
