Job summary

Central Rock Gym Watertown, MA seeks a Non-Competitive Coach to lead youth practices, introduce fundamental climbing skills, and build a welcoming, growth-focused program. You will design weekly lesson plans and contribute to a safe, engaging learning environment for climbers of all levels.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of climbing experience, strong behavior management, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with youth in an educational setting.
• Strong behavior management skills with youth of all ages.
• Strong in-person and remote communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years of climbing experience.
• Weekday afternoon availability and willingness to work weekends.
• Proficiency in top rope belaying.
• Careful attention to detail, ability to analyze movement and provide insightful feedback.

Summary: As a Coach, you will foster a fun and welcoming environment for youth athletes of all ages by introducing fundamentals of climbing, building a strong base, continuing to develop skills, creating a solid curriculum, and ensuring a highly engaged CRG youth community experience.
