Job summary

The Marilyn Davies College of Business seeks reliable students to assist with maintaining active social media channels for positively promoting the College. While messaging can be done remotely, time spent physically in the college is required to gather content.

Responsibilities include creating digital content, coordinating communications plans, posting on social channels, and attending events to capture material for UHD publications.

Qualifications

• Must be outgoing and willing to interact with students and faculty to construct content for posts.
• Familiar with various social media outlets and willing to learn and research new technologies.
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Must have good verbal/written communication skills.
• Must be very professional, responsible and punctual.
• Must have strong computer skills.
• Wear at minimum business casual attire.

Responsibilities

• Creates digital content for web, mobile, social, video and audio
• Direct and organize the college communications planning, social media planning, outreach to the campus and greater community in alignment with the UHD’s Strategic Plan and University Relations Marketing Plan
• Creates and posts relevant content to the college’s social media channels
• Reaches out to students and faculty to incorporate their stories into social media content
• Attends college events in order to obtain content for social media posts
• Re-posts relevant content from the University and other related channels
• Creates posts based on other University publications such as “Points of Pride” and UHD Magazine
• Maintains an organized calendar of content with a productive rhythm of posting
• Creates a monthly summary of all content posted in the previous month

The Marilyn Davies College of Business seeks reliable students to assist with maintaining active social media channels for positively promoting the College. While messaging on social media can be conducted from any location with internet access, engaging with the individuals necessary to build content occurs within the college. Therefore, this position will require time spent physically in the college.

Duties

• Creates digital content for web, mobile, social, video and audio
• Direct and organize the college communications planning, social media planning, outreach to the campus and greater community in alignment with the UHD’s Strategic Plan and University Relations Marketing Plan
• Creates and posts relevant content to the college’s social media channels
• Reaches out to students and faculty to incorporate their stories into social media content
