Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL seeks a Sterile Processing Technician for the Day shift to support surgical services. You will receive and process soiled instruments, ensure proper cleaning and disinfection, and verify sterilization processes across multiple units.

Associate degree preferred or high school/equivalent required, with CSPDT/CRCST preferred. This full-time role offers Day One benefits and opportunities for career development within a faith-based health system.

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes, and handles soiled instruments from surgery, anesthesia, and nursing units.
• Prepares, cleans, and disinfects instruments and equipment appropriately.
• Inspects instruments for damages, malfunction, or unacceptable condition.
• Prepares instruments for sterilization by verifying correct items and quantities.
• Ensures proper sterilization procedures and effectiveness of the sterilizing process.
• Maintains records on sterilization and tracks equipment and instruments issued to nursing units.

Shift Needed: 8am-4:30 pm Monday -Friday

• Receives soiled and contaminated instruments or equipment from surgery, anesthesia, and nursing units.
