Job description

The primary purpose of your job is to assist with the delivery of patient care in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines, regulations, and established procedures as directed by the Administrator, to ensure the highest quality of care and safety.

Education

• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be able to read, write legibly, speak clearly, and understand English
• Preferred: Successful completion of Medical Assistant School/Program or comparable training in a related discipline

Experience (Preferred/Desired)

• Medical Assistant experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
• Minimum of 6 months employment in an ambulatory physician practice setting in the last 3 years preferred

Licensure and/or Certification (Required/Desired)

• BLS required at time of hire or must be obtained within 90 days of start date
• Within 1 year of employment, must meet one of the following if not completed prior to hire:
  • Enrollment in a program to enhance MA skills
  • Registered (RMA)
  • Certified (CMA)
  • Certified Clinical MA (CCMA)
