Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking an EMS Provider Candidate in Pecos, TX who will begin by attending EMT training and, after certification, carry EMT responsibilities while pursuing paramedic credentials.

Through classroom instruction and hands-on practice, you will learn EMS procedures, respond to medical and trauma emergencies, and perform related administrative duties. You will strive for certification by DSHS and work with a professional team in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred college degree but not required.
  • Applicant must pass written entrance exam, physical agility, background check, interview, physical, and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Attend EMT training and obtain EMT certification.
  • Carry EMT responsibilities during training and while pursuing paramedic certification.
  • Learn EMS procedures through classroom instruction and practical training.
  • Respond to and treat medical and trauma emergencies.
  • Perform training, administrative and clerical duties, as well as station duties.

Salary Range: $54,000.00 To $54,000.00 Annually

RoleandResponsibilities
  • EMS ProviderCandidate willberequiredtoattendandsuccessfullycompleteEMT training. Once EMT certification is obtained, you will have EMT responsibilities while obtaining your paramedic certification.
  • Throughclassroominstructionandpracticaltraining,recruitsstudyEMS procedures.
  • Learnhowtorespondandprovide carewithspecialized medical equipment.
  • Learnhowtorespondandtreatmedicalandtraumarelatedemergencies.
  • Dutieswillalsoincludetraining,administrativeandclericalfunctions,aswellasstationduties.
  • Withinestablisheddeadline,theEMS Provider Candidate willberequiredtobecomecertifiedbyDSHS.
  • Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Other duties as assigned.

TheEMS Provider Candidate maybecomeeligibleforappointmenttoaEMS Provideruponmeetingallofthe following:

  • FavorablerecommendationbytheEMS Training Captain.
  • Satisfactorycompletingtheapprovedtrainingprogram.
  • PossessionofavalidEmergencyMedicalTechniciancertificationbyDSHS.
  • Possession of a valid paramedic certification by DSHS (if applicable).
