Job summary

Hajoca Corporation in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Non CDL Driver to join our delivery team. The role involves loading and delivering Hajoca merchandise to job sites and facilities, safely handling loads and verifying shipping documents. You must pass a DOT physical and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
• Have a driving record that meets Company policy criteria for Authorized Driver.
• Pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before starting and every two years thereafter.
• Know the laws and regulations governing CMVs and DOT rules.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations.
• Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise and secure the load.
• Ensure the necessary unloading equipment is available.
• Understand the shipping documents and have accurate directions to delivery destinations.
• Review shipping documentation for order accuracy.
• Unload merchandise and obtain legible signatures as required by policy.
• Collect and secure payments for all cash sale deliveries before release.
• Work with customers at delivery sites to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
• Load the truck at other locations with merchandise and vendor goods.
• Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses.
