Job summary

Zūm is seeking a Non-CDL Van Driver in Oakland, CA to safely transport students to and from school and related activities. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a clean driving record and compliance with state certifications for non-CDL van operation.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, maintaining student safety during transit, and effective communication with students, parents, and school staff. Competitive pay and excellent benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• This role is a safety-sensitive position.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Additional state certifications required for non-CDL van operation.
• Minimum 5 years of driving experience in a passenger vehicle (WAC 392-144-101).

This is a safety-sensitive position because you are responsible for the safe operation of a vehicle transporting students, and any impairment could create a significant risk of harm. Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Additional certifications required by state for legal non-cdl van operation
• Minimum 5 years of driving experience in a passenger vehicle required (WAC 392-144-101)
• Minimum age: 21 years
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background check and drug test
• Physical ability to assist students and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
