Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. in Newark, NJ is seeking a Truck Driver to join our team. This non-CDL role involves operating a 16-foot rack truck, assisting with warehouse tasks, loading and unloading materials, and delivering to active jobsites.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of safe driving experience, a valid New Jersey license with a clean record, a DOT Medical Card, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Start time is 6:00 AM, Monday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand English for road signs and manifests.
• 1–2 years of safe driving experience with box/rack trucks.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License with clean record; DOT Medical Card required.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds during loading/unloading.
• Must start at 6:00 AM with a Monday–Saturday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 16-foot rack truck in urban areas and construction zones.
• Pickup material orders from local vendors and ensure timely collection.
• Verify orders against paperwork and purchase orders for accuracy.
• Deliver materials to active jobsites and unload safely at the site.
• Cross-check quantities with job-site foremen to prevent errors.
• Assist with loading/unloading pipes, equipment, and fittings.
• Secure loads with straps or ropes before travel.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance needs.
• Represent Haddad professionally at jobsites and supplier locations.
