Job summary

Ihrie Supply Company in Raleigh, NC is seeking a proactive Non-CDL Driver / Warehouse team member who puts customers first and supports daily deliveries and warehouse tasks. You will load and secure trucks, verify orders for accuracy, and comply with DOT regulations while maintaining a safe, professional image with customers.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure the truck before deliveries.

• Being professional, friendly, and valuing exceptional customer service.
• Confirming the customers order is in good condition, is accurate and is delivered to the customer and placed where they dictate.
• Safely load and secure the truck prior to making deliveries.
• Inspect the truck and required parts to determine safe operating condition prior to delivery and inform supervisor of any mechanical problems.
• Provide sales leads by noting prospective customers names, addresses or needs discovered throughout the course of daily deliveries.
• Represent the company in a highly professional manner and leaving a final positive impression with our customers by ensuring that their needs are met.
• Comply with DOT and other applicable regulations.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
• Assist other team members with pulling, filling, packing and setting up orders and other warehouse duties when needed.

What you Need to Succeed

• Have a valid state-issued driver's license and a minimum of 3 years' driving experience.
• Possess a driving record that demonstrates good driving skills.
• Commercial driving experience is a plus.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal and MVR background check in accordance with company requirements.
