Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class NON CDL Truck Driver in Salisbury, MD for local home daily routes with weekly pay and strong benefits. You’ll start with paid training and work a schedule Monday–Saturday, starting around 3:30–4:00 AM.

Expect medical, dental & vision coverage after 30 days and PTO from day 1, plus uniforms and a 401(k) with company match after 1 year. Requirements include at least 6 months of verifiable driving experience, a valid license, drug test, and the ability to follow instructions

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check for last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

• Maintain accurate records and assist with loading/unloading if required.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
• 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
