Job summary

E&R Sales and Marketing Services is hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver in Maryland to support timely deliveries of food products to retailers and restaurants. You will drive a non-CDL van, maintain proper temperature for perishable goods, and ensure accurate invoicing and back-room handling.

Responsibilities include inventory monitoring, route planning with GPS, and maintaining the vehicle. Excellent customer engagement and attention to detail are essential, with overtime or weekend availability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year delivery driving experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate a non-CDL delivery van to supermarket chains, Walmart, independents and restaurants.
• Ensure proper temperature control for frozen/refrigerated items during transport.
• Accurately account for deliveries against invoices and restock shelves as needed.
• Actively monitor inventory levels and coordinate reorders or returns.
• Foster positive relationships with customers, sales reps and store managers.
• Use GPS technology to plan and manage efficient routes.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and keep the truck clean and fueled.
• Collect payments and document transactions on route paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Efficient Deliveries: Operate a non-CDL delivery van, transporting food products from the warehouse to retail locations including Supermarket Chains, Walmart, Independent Stores, and Restaurants.
• Temperature-Sensitive Deliveries: Ensure the proper temperature control for frozen and refrigerated items, unloading and delivering to the correct store back room or cooler/freezer.
• Merchandise Management: Accurately account for deliveries against invoices, ensuring correct product quantities and values. Maintain store shelves by observing displays, removing damaged or outdated products, and restocking as needed.
• Inventory Monitoring: Actively track inventory levels, prompt store management to reorder products, and arrange for returns and credits for damaged goods.
• Customer Engagement: Foster positive relationships with customers, sales representatives, and store managers, responding promptly to inquiries and ensuring any discrepancies in cases, pricing, or products are addressed in a timely manner.
• Efficient Route Management: Use technology such as commercial GPS systems to navigate and ensure safe, timely deliveries.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections of your delivery vehicle and report any issues or damage to management. Maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and ensure it is fully fueled.
• Cash & Documentation Collection: Collect payments (cash or checks) for deliveries and accurately record payments on the relevant invoices and route documents. Ensure all required paperwork, including credit memos, purchase orders, and signatures, is completed and submitted.

Requirements

• A valid driving record will be required as part of the hiring process.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record
• Driving Record will need to be provision for employment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively
• Availability for overtime or weekend work as required
• Bilingual candidates are preferred

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of delivery driving experience preferred
